Question: I regularly watch the space station as it flies over my part of the world. I would like to know if they are growing anything as an experiment on board? Are they growing lettuces and if so are they edible? Thanks

  I don’t know exactly what they are doing at this time, but various plants have been grown to understand how they react in zero g.

  Right now, I believe they are trying to grow a flowering plant for the first time in space (zinnias).
