• Question: What do the astronauts do with excess waste that cannot be recycled? Is it released into space or can it all be recycled?

      Well astronauts have to survive on limited supplies, this is why recycling their body water and waste is very important.

      Just like the water cycle on earth, where all earth animal waste is recycled. NASA has created life support systems that recycles all the water and waste from an astronaut.
