• Question: how come when you are on the other side of the earth why don't you fall off??

      Gravity always pulls to the center of mass, in this case, the middle of the earth. So, while in relation to someone at the equator, someone at one of the poles is at a 90 degree angle, but they are both being drawn toward the center of the earth, so they will always feel straight.

    Just like Rochelle said – because the Earth is a sphere gravity will keep pulling you to wars the centre of the planet wherever you stand. The only way you’ll fall off is if the Earth suddenly stopped spinning – and then you’d fall off at about 1000mph!
