• Question: Do you like it when u get the chance to talk to the astronauts on board the ISS and why?

      Yep. Very much.

      How ridiculous/amazing is it that we get to talk to space as a dayjob!?!! It’s so good working with all the different astronauts and scientists and engineers and making hundreds of experiments happen in space plus keeping all of the systems working in the European science laboratory.

      I just push a button and chat like it’s no big deal to astronauts space with no delay – the tech behind that ‘just working’ all the time is incredible. Also when they call us on the phone it sounds like a regular phone call.

      All the astronauts and cosmonauts are so multi-talented and highly trained and disciplined and fun to work with. We get science done and have lots of laughs. It’s such a privilege – I love it!

      I don’t have the chance to talk to astronauts in space 🙁 It does sound fun though 🙂
