• Question: After Tim gets back to Earth, how long will it be before he can come back to the UK to spend time with his family?

      He will get used to gravity again in Envihab, a special building next to the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne and his family of course will be the first to see Tim when he lands back from space. My colleagues will pick him up on a special charter flight with his Flight Surgeon and fly him directly back to Cologne on Saturday. Tim’s wife and sons will stay in Cologne too and they can see him pretty often. They’re bringing Yorkshire tea over from the UK!

      Astronauts get a day off after they have landed and seen the doctors to make sure they are ok. Astronauts families are very important so Tim will get to see his family very soon after landing.
