• Question: is it true that if you were in space without a suit on you could survive for approximately 30 seconds before dying?

      Yes, that is absolutely true, as I already said answered to Padfoot here.

      As a matter of fact, you can survive up to a couple of minutes. You will pass out after approx 10-15 seconds, because of the missing oxygen. But if an astronaut mate would take you quickly back into the spacecraft, you could survive without harm!

      As Sergio says, that’s true.

      Likewise here in Antarctica you would only survive a few minutes without wearing the right equipment outside in the really cold temperatures.

      Having said that lot’s of people in Antarctica join what is called the 300 club! That involves experiencing a temperature change of 300!! We tried it here, going from the sauna and running outside at -80C ! It was pretty fun but I wouldn’t recommend it for long though ;)!
