• Question: How to you keep your food warm in space?

      Hi Rosie!
      It is very similar to what we do on Earth, we keep it in the food galley and then when it’s time to eat we warm it up with small electric ovens!
      The big difference is that you can’t go out and buy fresh fruit, vegetables or meat, unfortunately there are no groceries in space 🙁
      So most of the food is conserved in tin cans, vacuumed or freeze-dried. But when a new spacecraft arrives to the ISS, then it’s fresh food party for few days! 🙂

      🙂 Sounds like Concordia! We haven’t had any fresh fruit or vegetables here since February! I’m craving a mango!!

      I’ve heard the astronaut ice cream tastes great though and you don’t need to warm that up 😉
