• Question: How often do the astronauts get to chat to their families whilst they're on the ISS?

      Hi! Nice question!
      They have different ways to talk to their families, not only they can chat and send emails, but they can also talk with them with a telephone and even have a video-conference using the webcams they have on the laptops!
      They can do that whenever they want, but obviously they also have to work. But for sure they make a phone call at least once a day.

      I once got a phone call from an astronaut when I was at work, I have to say that receiving a phone call from space is quite striking! 😀
