• Question: could there ever be a thing as a space farmer ?

      Hi Ellen!
      I think there will be for sure space farmers in the future!

      If we want to stay on a planet outside the Earth, we need food to survive! If our stay is shorter than few years, then it’s still convenient to bring the food from Earth. But if our stay gets longer, growing the food on the planet becomes much more convenient.

      This means that if we want to have a base on the Moon or on Mars, we will for sure need to grow plants there. So there will be astronauts who are also specialized in growing crops.
      I think we could definitely call them “space farmers”! 🙂

      Absolutely!! I guess in many ways Tim can be considered our first space farmer doing the Rocket science project!!
