• Question: Would you ever be willing to live the rest of your life in space

      Hi Amy,

      I would love to go to space and specifically Mars!

      However, it would have to be a return mission as I would miss my family and girlfriend too much!

      I’d miss my husband, trees, rain and baths too much.

      I’d be keen. The problems from spaceflight only happen when you return to Earth so if you stayed in space there’s less issues 😀

      But… they have to figure out a way to have a hot shower in space. Washing with just a flannel after a while is gross.. We did that back in the Air Force on survival training bivouacs and also when I lived in remote Mongolia (there’s no water) and I was not a fan.

      And… they’d have to send up fun stuff like my favourite video games and a very large hard drive of movies and a basketball ring/gear and have a way to resupply food and let a couple of my favourite Earth people join and simulate gravity in some parts of the spacecraft with a rotating module like in the Martian. That would also solve my shower gripe 🙂
