• Question: Why weren't Tim's family at the landing site on when he came down?

      He had a direct return with ESA so just his Doctor and his ESA support person went to the landing site by helicopter with the Roscosmos landing team specialists and the helicopters took Tim, Tim and Yuri to Karaganda then Tim and Tim went in the NASA plane direct to Bodo in Norway where his family was waiting in the ESA plane and they went home together in the plane to Cologne straight away 🙂 He was catching up on sleep on that first plane anyway 🙂 His family was the first to see him! And then his parents were on the tarmac at Cologne airport with ESA 🙂
