      The Soyuz rocket has three stages. The main booster falls somewhere in the Kazakhstan desert (Launch is from Baikonur always). You could go rocket wreckage hunting and look for them – some people do! The other stages burn up in the atmosphere and the final stage of course docks to the ISS (just the top part in the nose-cone). And they use half of this part to return to Earth and the other half also burns up fully in the atmosphere. Check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVvgpKt5uCA
