  27 – 37 is the normal selection age for astronauts.
  
  In the 60s there was once a Russian cosmonaut who was only 25 (he was the 2nd human ever in space after Gagarin!).
  
  Space Programs value life experience as well as study so you need to be older to be an astronaut.

  The youngest person to fly in space is Gherman Titov, who was 25 years old when he flew in 1961.
  
  Nowadays due to the selection criteria and requirements it is generally thought that an astronaut is unlikely to be selected under the age of 21. Actually the average age of an astronaut when selected is 34 with NASA selecting people between the ages of 26 and 77!
