Question: If you where on a mission and you ran out of fuel and all communications where down what would be your plan to try and return to earth or reach somebody who could help

  I’d hope the Mission Control noticed and sent up a rescue mission

  Return to Earth.
  
  Firstly try and fix the communications and keep working on that. Also figure out my position and the direction of Earth. Make some sort of explosion and channel it through a nozzle in the opposite direction of Earth. It would propel me towards Earth. Then sit tight because in space you just keep moving forward until you hit something so I would hope when I was close to Earth they would intercept my spaceship or I had a landing vehicle I could transfer to an Earth Orbit and then reenter safely.
