gas starts to stick together, which makes gravity stronger with gathers more gas, at some point there is enough pressure to start nuclear fusion ( so atoms of one thing sticking to the atoms of another thing) and the star starts to glow- it;s a bit like making a candy floss- you start with a little bit and it gets bigger and bigger until you have the whole thing 🙂
Shooting stars are bits of dust, space junk or small rocks that burn up in the upper atmosphere so we can see them.
