It’s quite amazing, especially here inland. I’ve worked on a ship before around Antarctica, which was nice cause you loads of penguins, whales and seals.
Here inland (Concordia Station is 1100km from the coast) there is really nothing besides the base and snow, snow and snow. We’re on a big snow hill at 3200meters above sea level, which means that there is 30% less oxygen, which makes everything hard.
I’ve been here for 3.5months now, of which 2.5 months of 24h sunlight, now the dark period is approaching which means that in a few weeks we wont see the sun for 100days!!! Only the stars to keep us company.
