• Question: how much horse-power does a rocket have?

      Hi Tom,
      The European rocket, Ariane V, has a main engine of 5 million horse power.
      The American moon rocket, Saturn V, was the biggest rocket with 38 million horse power. That is the same as 500 jet fighters.
      All it takes is 7 minutes of full power, and you are in orbit!
