Ivano: Well, losing a crew during a mission is the worst that can happen.
Astronauts and cosmonauts put their lives at stake to foster science and human knowledge: thanks to them we can improve our lives, have better drugs and materials, and understand what’s around us.
Space is unforgiving, and errors are paid sometimes with the lives of the crew.

As of today, 18 astronauts and cosmonauts lost their lives during spaceflight missions, and 14 during training and testing.
