All my personal hero’s are astronauts – because they are the great explorers and pioneers of our time trying to explore and learn about space. I also really like the positive can do attitude and view on life 🙂
Eleanor Roosevelt. In her time, she was a strong, outspoken woman who wasn’t afraid to publicly disagree with her husband’s policies (then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt of the US). She was a big supporter of the civil rights movement and was also one of the first US delegates to the United Nations. Who is one of your heroes?
Hard to say. I think my moral compass has been set by many many people. My parents, I think probably had the biggest influence. Then I think I took a lot from TV – Star Trek is actually a pretty good example of a show that in many ways deals with ethics.
Also, I sort of feel we have an “instinctive” way of telling what’s right and wrong, a feature built into us by evolution from millions of years of social living. Most importantly, we can imagine what it’s like to be someone else, and to know how they would feel about the things we do.
