• Question: Where did all the matter that formed the big bang come from?

      We really do not know 🙂 its one of the things we still need to figure out! Asking great questions like this is the first step of becoming a scientist, the next part is trying to figure out how to answer these great questions!

      Yup – no one knows. It’s like it just was always there!

      The matter at the start was very different to the matter we know now. There weren’t any atoms at the beginning – we think it was much simpler things that came together to make matter and everything we see in the Universe.

      Another thing that is puzzling scientists these days is: where is the anti-matter!? According to our understanding of physics, there should be equal amounts of matter and antimatter. But, everywhere we look, all we see is matter – no antimatter at all. It’s very odd…
