      Right now – the location: it’s amazing looking out of the window and seeing the beautiful desolate ice! I also really enjoy flying the Soyuz Simulator and pretending I’m an astronaut for a while. It’s like a super-realistic computer game. If only it had zero gravity too… 🙂

      The fact I get to go and work at the astronaut centre in Germany every now and again. Also that real astronauts sometimes read my work and talk with me about it! That always make for fun and exciting days 🙂

      One of the best things about my job is that I get to discover the answers to questions that no one knows the answer to. Every discovery leads us to new questions about bacteria and space that haven’t been posed before, and through careful experimentation we can start filling in the gaps in our knowledge. Now, getting to run these experiments in zero gravity is definitely exciting, too. 🙂
