• Question: what causes flights to space being cancelled? you missed all the fun :(

      Hi ilikemelons!

      There are alot of reasons why a flight to space can be cancelled but they usually fall into three areas most likely to least likely:

      – Bad weather
      – A problem with the launcher (rocket)
      – A problem with the payload (the satellite or in Tims case the capsule on top).

      Todays launch of Tims Soyuz to the ISS was perfect with no problems but a week ago one of the supply missions to the ISS Orbital 4 was delayed several times due to bad weather (in this case high winds).
