• Question: How often do you get to see the Northern Lights?

      Hi! At the moment – not at all. This is because it’s the summer here, and during the summer the sun is up 24 hours a day. Even at midnight, it’s like the middle of the day! Without night, it’s not dark enough to see them Lights (which are actually called the Southern Lights here!).

      In the winter, when the Sun has disappeared for several months and it is very dark, we can see these remarkable slight shows maybe once every week or two? Each time looks different though – and there were one or two distinctly amazing ones!
