I was on BBC radio for half an hour talking about space stuff just after I came back to the UK from working at the astronaut centre. It was interesting to see how busy they are during the periods they are playing the songs. It is at that time they plan what they are going to do next! Being on the radio was a lot of fun!
I also once tried to get an article in a newspaper about a space event I was running. The newspaper decided to write a story that I was looking for aliens with NASA, which was definitly not what I was doing and not what I had asked them to write! 😛 So being on the news can be tricky and strange too!
Yeah I have – a few times actually, as part of the Skinsuit work I do. The BBC made a video to feature online of my team in our lab at King’s back in 2013/2014 talking about how Skinsuit may hopefully help to protect astronauts in space – there is a photo on my profile from the video that was made! There have also been numerous articles in the news about Skinsuit this year, especially over the last couple of months after it was worn on Andreas Mogensen to the ISS. I’ll also be appearing in a TV documentary next year on the discovery channel so keep your eyes peeled!
