Because we can’t fix satellites is they break, we spend a *lot* of time trying to make sure that they work perfectly all the time. Sometimes we don’t succeed, but most times our work pays off and our satellite does exactly what it wants to though. So yes, I am confident that the things I help with are good, and that the end result of everyone’s work is going to be fine.

Still, whenever something I’ve worked on gets launched, I’m still a bit nervous that my part will break!

I’ve not worked on the space station or a manned spacecraft. I guess those who do feel even more nervous given there are lives on the line if something goes wrong…
