How do you survive in space?

From the broadcast of the lectures over the festive period to the end of January 2016, we will have a varied host of experts, including 2015 CHRISTMAS LECTURES presenter, Kevin Fong, online to answer questions and take part in live chats.

Kevin is a medical doctor with a special interest in space medicine and extreme environments. He holds degrees in Astrophysics and Medicine from UCL, a degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University and has completed space medical training rotations at Johnson Space Center, Houston and Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral.

The 2015 CHRISTMAS LECTURES, How to survive in space, will be broadcast over the festive period, and each week thereafter until the end of January 2016, there will be a different group of active experts online to answer questions from school students and the public.

About the CHRISTMAS LECTURES Zone

Begun by Michael Faraday in 1825, the CHRISTMAS LECTURES are now broadcast on UK television every December and have formed part of the British Christmas tradition for generations.

We’re working with the Royal Institution to extend the CHRISTMAS LECTURES discussion; giving school students and the public the opportunity to ask questions inspired by the lectures to experts online.
